Each year, the Northwest Minnesota Private Industry Council, Inc. (NWPIC) submits a local plan for the delivery of federal and state employment and training services to residents and businesses across Northwest Minnesota.
The Northwest Private Industry Council Program Years Local Plan is now available. The WIOA Local Plan can be viewed in hard copy version at the Thief River Falls Workforce Center, located at 1301 Hwy 1 East in Thief River Falls or electronically at http://www.nwpic.net.
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) was signed into law by President Obama on July 22, 2014. WIOA seeks to more fully integrate systems to better serve employers and job seekers. Under WIOA the Northwest Minnesota Workforce Development Board is required to submit a local plan to the State of Minnesota.
Local Plan Updates
