Every 3 years, the Northwest Minnesota Private Industry Council, Inc. (NWPIC) submits a local plan for the delivery of federal and state employment and training services to residents and businesses across Northwest Minnesota.

The Northwest Private Industry Council Program Years 2024-27 Local Plan is now available. The WIOA Local Plan can be viewed in hard copy version at the Thief River Falls Careerforce Center, located at 1301 Hwy 1 East in Thief River Falls or electronically at http://www.nwpic.net.

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) was signed into law by President Obama on July 22, 2014. WIOA seeks to more fully integrate systems to better serve employers and job seekers. Under WIOA the Northwest Minnesota Workforce Development Board is required to submit a local plan to the State of Minnesota.

The local and regional plan for plan years 2024-27 are posted here for review and a 30 day comment period starting April 10th, 2024.  All comments should be submitted to John Preuss at jpreuss@intercountycc.org no later than end of day on May 9th, 2024.
